David Abele established and leads the ARESI Group, a real estate team based in Minneapolis. The company provides buying, leasing, property management, relocation assistance, and sales services in Minneapolis and St. Paul as well as throughout the Brainerd Lakes area. In addition to his work, David Abele is passionate about the healing potential of nature, tranquillity, and giving back, and thus founded the Birchwood Project.

Inspired by Abele’s childhood memories of trips into the woods, the Birchwood Project offers an avenue for other people to enjoy a similar experience and more. For lovers of the outdoors, it provides a tranquil retreat and sanctuary in the Brainerd Lakes area as a getaway retreat from the chaos of the city.

More importantly, the Birchwood Project uses the funds it generates to give back through a free-of-charge hosting of children who are critically ill and their families for therapeutic stays. The project has been lauded for its unique concept that integrates luxury, nature and charity for those facing medical adversity.
